Intro Mat/Reformer/Tower Foundation Class
This drop-in class is the ideal introduction to the Pilates method, designed for those new to the practice or looking to revisit the fundamentals before joining our group classes.
You’ll be introduced to three key elements of Pilates training:
-
The Mat: where you learn to control your body using gravity, breath, and precise movement.
-
The Reformer: a dynamic piece of equipment using springs, pulleys, and a moving carriage to add resistance and support.
-
The Tower: a vertical frame with adjustable springs that help guide and challenge your movement in new ways.
We also incorporate small props—such as balls, magic circles, bands, and foam rollers—to enhance body awareness, support alignment, and add variety to your workout.
This class focuses on developing a strong and intelligent foundation. You’ll learn the core principles of Pilates, including how to connect with your deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor, improve posture, and move with more control, balance, and precision.
By attending these sessions, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the cues used in class, feel more confident on the equipment, and be well-prepared to transition into our Basic Reformer Tower or Mat Tower classes—when you’re ready.
